ROUND ROCK, TX – Winthrop & Co. is proud to announce that Christopher Cybulski, CFP® has joined Chisholm Trail Financial Group, an independent affiliate of Lincoln Financial Securities, to expand his financial planning practice in Round Rock, Texas.
Before building his career as a financial advisor, Christopher got his start as a TV journalist covering sports, politics, and local news in Austin. That passion for storytelling and clarity still drives his work today—just with a different audience. “I have an educator’s heart,” Chris often says. “I want my clients to feel empowered after we meet.”
After a successful run at Edward Jones, Chris made the decision to leave the corporate environment and launch his next chapter with Chisholm Trail Financial Group—a move that allows him to lead with planning, offer more personalized advice, and build long-term strategies with greater independence.
Chris focuses on financial planning, retirement strategies, and business exit planning. A CFP® professional, he believes the best advice starts with truly understanding where a client is, where they want to go, and what’s most important to them along the way.
Outside of work, Chris lives in Round Rock with his wife and their two kids, Mitch and Claire. He met his wife at the TV station in 2011 after she landed the promotion he was gunning for—and in classic journalistic fashion, he married her in 2016 to get the last word. These days, he spends most of his time with the kids in the backyard or at the local park, volunteering at church where he occasionally gives a sermon, or at the gym.
With his transition to Chisholm Trail Financial Group, Christopher Cybulski is bringing his thoughtful, planning-first approach to clients across Texas—helping them cut through the noise, gain confidence, and build a financial future rooted in clarity and intention.
