MANCHESTER, CT — Winthrop & Co. is proud to formally announce that Patrick Rider and Kendra O'Reilly have joined NewEdge Advisors, launching their independent practice in Manchester, Connecticut with LPL Financial, the nation's largest independent broker-dealer, as their brokerage platform.
Patrick and Kendra spent the previous five years at Key Investment Services, KeyBank's investment program, serving families and individuals across Manchester, Vernon, and the greater Hartford area. Both know the independent channel well: each spent years affiliated with LPL earlier in their careers, and Kendra brings more than two decades of experience that includes six years at Merrill Lynch. Their move returns the practice to a structure they own.
NewEdge Advisors, part of NewEdge Capital Group, supports independent advisors nationwide with the infrastructure, compliance support, and scale of an established group, while LPL provides the platform underneath it. For bank-channel advisors, the combination is compelling: the relationships they spent years building become a practice that is genuinely theirs.
Winthrop & Co. worked with Patrick and Kendra through their evaluation and transition, from the initial confidential conversation through their first day of independence. As with every placement, the process was run quietly, on their timeline, and at no cost to them.
Winthrop & Co. is an independent consulting and advisor placement firm serving financial advisors nationwide. We represent the advisor, never the firm, across wirehouse, regional, independent broker-dealer, and RIA channels. Advisors exploring their options can request an introduction in complete confidence.
